Terms of Service

Welcome to InvestCircles. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use InvestCircles.

1. What InvestCircles is — and is not

InvestCircles is a private, group-based investing visualizer. You can see what your friends in a private circle hold and trade, share notes, and compare allocations.

  • InvestCircles is not a broker. We do not execute trades.
  • InvestCircles is not a custodian. We do not hold money or securities.
  • InvestCircles is not an investment adviser. Nothing in the product is investment advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the local age of majority, whichever is higher) to use InvestCircles. By signing up you confirm you meet that requirement.

3. Your account

  • One account per person.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • Do not impersonate someone else. We may reclaim a username if you are impersonating a real person, company or public figure.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use InvestCircles to:

  • Give investment advice or solicit clients for advice.
  • Coordinate trading with the intent to manipulate price (pump-and-dump, collusive buying, wash trading). We cooperate with regulators and law enforcement when lawfully required.
  • Share material non-public information ("insider tips").
  • Spam, harass, dox, or threaten other users.
  • Upload illegal, harmful, or copyright-infringing content.
  • Reverse engineer or scrape the service beyond rate limits.
  • Misrepresent your portfolio. Self-reported data is allowed today, but if you connect a broker we expect your tracked positions to reflect reality.
  • Create sock-puppet accounts to inflate circle activity, leaderboard rank, or any other InvestCircles metric.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these rules. Severe or repeated abuse results in a permanent ban.

5. Objectionable content — zero tolerance

InvestCircles has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. Harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual or violent content, and spam are not allowed anywhere in the app, including circle chat and direct messages.

  • Report: press and hold any message to report it. Reports are anonymous and reviewed by our team, who act on confirmed violations (removing content and/or banning the user) within 24 hours.
  • Block: press and hold a message and choose “Block” to stop seeing that person’s messages immediately.
  • Contact: you can also email dano46639@gmail.com to report abuse or a user.

Users who post objectionable content or engage in abusive behavior are removed from InvestCircles.

6. Content you post

You keep ownership of what you upload (photos, bios, chat messages, portfolio data). By posting, you grant InvestCircles a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display that content to the audience you choose (your circle, your friends, or — if you opt in — anonymized aggregates).

7. Market data and third parties

Prices, news and event data come from third-party providers (Finnhub, FMP, Alpha Vantage, NewsAPI and others). We pass them through best-effort; we do not guarantee accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Do not rely on InvestCircles for time-sensitive trading decisions.

8. Connected accounts and imported data — read-only

You can optionally link brokerage or exchange accounts using read-only connection keys, an aggregation portal, or file imports. By linking an account you confirm it is yours and authorize InvestCircles to retrieve and display its positions to the audience you choose.

  • Connections are read-only by design. InvestCircles never places orders, never transfers funds, and never asks for your broker password.
  • Connection keys are encrypted at rest. Disconnecting an account deletes the stored keys and the positions synced from it.
  • Your relationship with the broker or exchange stays governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, fees, or actions.
  • Synced and imported data is best-effort and can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Portfolios shown by other members may be self-reported and unverified — do not rely on them for anything.

9. No investment advice

Nothing in InvestCircles is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Past performance — your own or anyone else's — does not guarantee future results. Investing involves risk including total loss of capital. You make your own decisions and bear your own outcomes.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. By using InvestCircles you accept that policy.

11. Account termination

You can delete your account from Settings at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose legal risk to other users.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

Circles is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every conceivable attack. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, InvestCircles, its operator and contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service — including investment losses, missed opportunities, or data loss. Our total aggregate liability is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you have paid InvestCircles in the prior twelve months, or (b) €50.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold InvestCircles harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of someone else's rights.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain (operator's residence) without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Madrid, except where local consumer law gives you the right to bring an action in your home jurisdiction.

16. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced inside the app and reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

17. General

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These terms are the entire agreement between you and InvestCircles about the service and supersede prior discussions. We may assign these terms as part of a reorganization or sale; you may not assign them. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country of residence.
